Israeli forces shot martyr 13-year-old Palestinian boy near Ramallah

Israeli forces shot and killed 13-year-old Ammar Hamayel in Kafr Malik, near Ramallah. The military claimed he was throwing stones, but provided no evidence.

AhlulBayt News Agency: On Monday evening, Israeli occupation forces fatally shot a Palestinian child in the village of Kafr Malik, located northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the death of 13-year-old Ammar Mu’taz Hamayel, stating that he was killed by Israeli gunfire near the town.

Local reports indicated that Israeli troops opened fire on the boy, who was initially believed to be 14, though official records later confirmed he was 13. He died shortly after being shot.

The Israeli military later alleged—without providing evidence—that Hamayel had been throwing stones at settler vehicles, a claim often used to justify the fatal shooting of Palestinian minors.

Human rights groups have long condemned Israel’s shoot-to-kill policy in the West Bank, especially when it targets children. Hamayel’s death adds to the growing number of Palestinian minors killed by Israeli forces in 2025.
